Thank you for the opportunity to tell you a little bit more about Treger's Sauce and Spice Company. I have had a love for food and creating great food my entire life. Hailing from Memphis, TN, the world capital of barbecue, our sauces have won 130 different awards since 1986 including best ribs in the world twice. Being located in the suburbs of Memphis gives us access to two key aspects of our business, a love for great barbecue and access to ship more easily all over the world. Memphis is not only the capital of barbecue, but also the country's logistics heart and home of FedEx, along with many other freight carriers. In 2005, my partner and I decided to start distributing our sauces and spices so everyone has to opportunity to taste the best! We use a manufacturing plant that is kept to our standards. We do some contract bottling as well to try to help others realize their dreams. So although we are small, we can handle demand.We create small batches of our products to ensure that the customer gets the freshest product possible. We use ingredients that can be pronounced and for which you do not need a dictionary or chemistry degree to be able to identify. You are not going to find us at a mass market or at big box retailers because we refuse to compromise quality for quantity, i.e. 10 bottles for $10. Even with a higher price point due to the quality we ensure, our products can be used regularly, not just for special occasions such as to impress the in-laws or to claim neighborhood bragging rights. We still will let you take all the credit as king of the grill. You may not have heard of us yet, but you can find us mostly here at small stores and shops that have soul. These are places that have decided that they are not going to sell food or any other products that they would not eat or feed their family.
We constantly are working to bring new products to market. We have a fleet of vehicles, only if you consider the front of the truck and back of the same truck separately. That being said, we will be more than happy to ship there. (We can't forget about the people across the country that deserve the true flavor of Memphis barbecue!) Although we are not old enough to have invented barbecue, we just made it better. We are used by professional chefs and connoisseurs in their restaurants and by the backyard chef that wants neighborhood bragging rights. We and our customers believe that "good food ain't cheap and cheap food ain't good.
Our core customer base are people who have extraordinary tastes and are willing to pay a little more for quality. We understand that they trust us to give them the best in every bottle. We make sauces and spices that people want to eat and tell their friends and families about. (Warning: Only attempt to remove our ribs from your pet at your own risk! Our insurance does not cover any injuries caused by trying to run down the neighbor or his dog that has attempted to steal or has stolen your food.) We work hard to develop sauces and spices that complement and enhance the flavor of your food, not glob up and overpower it! We do not want to be the only thing you taste, just the make best.
Over the years, we have learned a few tricks. We have moved from our name being spread from one great cookout to the next to now being on the internet! Our website lets you order our products and soon find great recipes, forums, news and upcoming events. We are revamping our Facebook page and discovering other methods of communicating with our customers and fans. We still believe that word of mouth sells the best and, you will see that boy your mouth will talk! Though we are using technology, you can still find us at local farmers markets and food shows. We use local products when we can, not only to support local farms and families, but also to reduce our footprint. We like to know that our ingredients are safe for our customers. Not only will your taste panel approve, but your taste buds will applaud!
